| powstatd |
Powstatd is a configurable UPS monitoring daemon designed to work with
Linux and other, similar, systems. Powstatd monitors a serial UPS
connection
and shuts the machine down gracefully if the power
remains off for more than a prespecified interval.
Powstatd also supports multiplexing several machines on the same UPS;
with the security option enabled, powstatd will
timestamp and encrypt all master/slave communication to protect slave
machines from malicious shutdowns.

| assign |
Assign is an implementation of a simple matching algorithm that
provides an impartial office assignment protocol for faculty offices.
While the whole idea may seem rather silly, the goal is to change
what might be a contentious process into an unambiguous, fair, and
transparent one.
